Actor Satyajeet Dubey, who was last seen in Prassthanam alongside Sanjay Dutt, was left in a shock after his 54-year-old mother was tested positive for COVID-19. The actor discovered how difficult it was for a common man to get the right medical facilities, until he pulled some strings which finally got things moving smoothly for the actor.
Satyajeet shared that his mother, after suffering of migraine, got high fever which was followed by shivering, vomiting and body ache. When the actor took her to get basic tests done, he was recommended to get her tested first for coronavirus. On testing, the results came positive and the actor had no option but to admit his mother in a hospital.
However, the actor admits that since he was privileged, he could manage to get his mother a bed in a hospital. He said, “As a son, I wanted to give her the best in terms of comfort. But, if you go through the normal channel, it’s next to impossible to find a bed in hospitals right now. Thank God for the kind of work I do, and the people I work with, I had to call a few people and pull some strings, and people were kind enough to say, ’You don’t worry about it, we will help’, and they did.”
Satyajeet’s mother has been kept in an isolation ward of a Mumbai hospital. Luckily, his Prassthanam co-stars, Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal were instrumental in helping him out along with Tisca Chopra and Amitosh Nagpal. Meanwhile, Satyajeet and his sister are in complete isolation at home.
We wish the family all the courage to go through this tough situation.
